Green Spain has a lot of rental casas and villas and some are featured on the better known villa company's websites. You may also find holiday rental villas in both Galicia and northern Spain being offered by companies covering Portugal. The south of Galicia (around Pontevedra) borders Portugal and you may even choose to base yourself there and drive in and out of Spain. The two countries are separated by a river with numerous crossings, a popular one being at Tui.

Finally, remember that finding a villa in Galicia, or any part of northern Spain is not as easy as it is in some of the more popular Costas. Be be assured though, there are a lot of rental properties out there and they are located all around the region - by the beaches and inland. Planning a holiday can take time and in the case of Galicia, getting the right villa in the right location will pay dividends, but you may have to searcha round a bit. An alternative is to base yourself in northern Portugal by the edge of the Galician border and travel in and out of the region by car. These border areas are amongst the most beautiful in Spain and you can enjoy not just a two center, but a two country holiday.
